Food Allergies and Sensitivities are at their high. We are seeing more and more people forming allergies/sensitivities to foods more than ever before.
The medical world and even the holistic world has led you to believe that certain foods are just not safe for your body. You also may have been told that its genetics that is causing all your food problems. Or maybe you have a weakened immune system or leaky gut that is causing all of this?
Well I call bull on all of this. Why? because it's not a logical answer to what is happening biologically in your body.
Chasing all of these theories of where food allergies and sensitivities come from doesn’t leave you with answers. It leaves you to avoidance. Avoidance of living a life that you deserve to have and enjoy with food.
Today I’m going to give you the biological root cause to food allergies and sensitivities. Compared to all of these other theories out there, it might sound so simple that it's going to feel like it needs to be more complicated.
Let’s get started.
MEDICAL PERSPECTIVE
Let's take a brief moment to look at allergies/sensitivities from a Medical perspective.
Allergies occur when your immune system reacts to a foreign substance. Your immune system produces substances known as antibodies.
When you have allergies, your immune system makes antibodies that identify a particular allergen as harmful, even though it isn’t. When you come into contact with the allergen, your immune system’s reaction can inflame your skin, sinuses, airways or digestive system.
The severity of allergies varies from person to person and can range from minor irritation to anaphylaxis — a potentially life-threatening emergency. While most allergies can’t be cured, treatments can help relieve your allergy symptoms.
That again is the medical view of allergies and sensitivities.
A NEW PERSPECTIVE
First of all, I would like to give you a whole new perspective on allergies/sensitivities and to enlighten you as to what actually causes them and the ability to get rid of them.
Most people believe that when you are exposed to an allergen and you have a reaction to it, that you are allergic to that substance, part of this is true, however, what caused the allergy in the first place, is what I will be discussing.
There is a lot of confusion on what is available today in terms of the word “cure”. What is even more important than the cure is the cause that creates the need for the cure.
A cure is often confused with alleviating a symptom. Actually, the symptom itself is just a clue. To really and truly understand what causes allergies or a sensitivity in the first place is to come to the realization that this is simply not a mistake of nature.
There is a biological meaning that has evolved over eons of time in our evolutionary process that is consistent in all plants, animals and humans. There is one thing in common with all life, the desire to survive.
In us humans, our nervous system is the look out for survival. As soon as it gets a message from the psyche that there is a threat, it goes into action, ensuring survival.
This is exactly what an allergic reaction and sensitivity is. A biological response to a threat.
According to GHK/ aka GNM the true cause of allergies is related to an unanticipated stressful situation that a person has experienced sometime in their life, and that trauma will initiate an inner conflict. The symptoms of the allergy are just a physical expression.
At the time when an allergy is formed, a person may have experienced an unanticipated traumatic event or shock. It can simply be triggered by unanticipated anger or when somebody strikes us with an offending remark. I like to say, keep it simple and refer to it as any type of perceived stress that was happening at the time of the event.
It's during this shock or event that the psyche (the subconscious) will actually record whatever food, pollen, grass, animal, etc., that was in the environment when the shock occurred. When we experience an unexpected conflict shock, our mind is in an acute awareness situation. Highly alert, our subconscious picks up all components that surround the conflict such as smells, tastes, sounds, objects, or people and stores them until the conflict is completely resolved.
In other words, your subconscious is perceiving that particular food as a threat based on what you were experiencing at the time when eating that food. It doesn’t matter if the food was part of the stressful experience because the psyche doesn’t know that. It just knows, we are experiencing a threat and that food happens to be here right now, so that must be the problem.
So let's look at an example of how this plays out.
A young girl is drinking milk at the dinner table. She is relaxed, eating dinner, socializing with her brother. She takes a drink of milk and all of a sudden from out of no where, her dad walks into the room and starts to yell at her for leaving her bike in the middle of the drive way. Her psyche immediately recognizes that this is stress and takes in account everything around her in that moment.
It just so happens that there is milk in her mouth at the time. Now the psyche (subconscious) isn’t picky and doesn’t know that the stressor is the dad, it just makes associations and connects the feeling of stress to the milk in her mouth.
The subconscious being the protector, now files milk into the “threat” file. This way it knows that milk is the bad guy and next time it encounters it, it will respond accordingly.
So the next day, the little girl goes to drink milk and she has an allergic reaction to it with symptoms of a stuffy, congested nose.
After this, she avoids drinking it due to the discomfort that happens whenever she drinks it.
The reaction of the stuffy congested nose is what we refer to as a track, and the discovery of those tracks and where they began is actually the culprit NOT the suspected allergic substance, which in this case was milk.
The symptom itself is a clue to resolving the allergies.
There are many kinds of allergies, and they are specific to the kind of conflict that one experiences. The symptoms give us a clue to what kind of conflict occurred at the time of the allergy program.
In this girls case, her symptoms were all about the nose and sinuses. This means that she had what we call a “stink conflict”. A stink conflict is basically when a person thinks a certain situation stinks or something physically stunk that bothered them.
So you might be asking at this point, if the girl is no longer in that situation, why does the subconscious still have a reaction to the milk?
Again, we have to look at the role of the subconscious. It's designed to protect us. So if there is still a reaction to milk in this example, then the subconscious still thinks it's a threat. Meaning it still thinks that dad is yelling at the girl. On a psyche level, the girl still hasn’t resolved this situation.
And as long as this situation, as well as any other triggers that resemble this conflict continue, the sensitivity/allergy remains.
But why does one person react to certain foods with a runny nose, another with asthma and yet another with a skin rash? It all depends on the person’s perception of the stressful event. The symptoms give us the clue as to what the perception was, which gives us answers to resolving the allergies.
GHK/GNM is able to explain why one and the same allergen, for instance a milk-track, causes different symptoms in different people. It is the actual allergy symptom (a runny nose, red and itchy eyes, coughing, diarrhea, or a skin rash) that reveals the nature of the original conflict.
Hence, we are not allergic to specific foods, cleaning agents, cosmetics, metals (jewelry made of gold or silver), mold, or dust mites but rather to what we associate with it!
MULTIPLE FOOD ALLERGIES/SENSITIVITIES
Multiple means multiple conflicts.
Oftentimes people that start out with a few food sensitivities then have more because there is so much fear around food.
Many Holistic practitioners contribute to more food sensitivities due to the labeling they have around certain foods. When they give you a list of foods that you can’t eat because they are “bad” or “high histamine”, this immediately programs the subconscious what foods it needs to be on heightened alert for.
All of a sudden foods that you were able to eat before now give you symptoms too!
Fear of food creates more conflicts to food because your nervous system is heightened around food. It's a vicious cycle and can lead to people eating very limited diets. Let alone nutritional deficiencies and many other emotional conflicts.
Let me put this simply, your food sensitivities/allergies have nothing to do with food. They have everything to do with what your subconscious associates to your food.
When you shift the meaning that your subconscious gives to your food, you will no longer experience symptoms.
I know this may sound simple and maybe even a little crazy but my work doesn’t go with the norm and that’s ok, I’m not here to give you the same answers that haven’t gotten you results. I’m here to give you solutions that work.
Our body and the symptoms that it manifests are simply not as complicated as the world perceives them to be. The body does not make mistakes, it simply responds to the information that it receives. Your sensitivities are based off of a biological survival response, that is it.
Many people are now free from “allergies” and sensitivities that have plagued them for years by making these subconscious shifts, and you can be too!
